AOCMF is opening its call for applications for a Europe and Southern Africa regional representative opening on the AOCMF Community Development Commission

AOCMF invites candidates who meet the eligibility criteria outlined in the job description to submit their completed application no later than January 31, 2019, by 12:00 pm CET.

Eligibility criteria

For this position, the successful applicant should be dedicated to sharing and fostering ideas across professional and cultural boundaries. The successful applicant will act as the regional representative on the AOCMF Community Development commission. He/she would also represent the AOCMF Community Development commission on the AOCMF Europe and Southern Africa Board. The successful candidate must be able to work in a multicultural environment and is expected to have the vision to contribute to the AOCMF community.

To apply for this position, the candidates must fulfill the requirements outlined in the Job description, and be an AOCMF member.

Election process

Applications must be submitted to AOCMF by January 31, 2019 by 12:00 pm CET.
These will then be handed to the Nomination Committee. The Nomination Committee will review all applications and select the candidates who fulfill the prerequisites. The “first past the post” election mechanism with two rounds (runoffs) will be used and then the members of the AOCMF Europe and Southern Africa Board, the AOCMF Community Development Commission and AOCMF Web Editorial Group will vote. The first runoff will only retain the two candidates with the most votes and all others will be dropped. The second and last rounds will then require an absolute majority.

This election will be conducted electronically between February 22 and March 1, 2019.

  • A one-page letter of intent describing your top five priorities if you were to be the future AOCMF Europe and Southern Africa regional representative
  • Signed AO Foundation Code of Ethics
