AOCMF is opening its call for applications for a regional representative opening on the AOCMF Community Development Commission. The successful candidate will represent Asia Pacific.

AOCMF invites potential candidates who meet the eligibility criteria provided in the job description to submit their completed applications no later than midnight Hong Kong Time (HKT) on May 26, 2019.

Eligibility criteria

Applicants should be AOCMF members who are dedicated to sharing and encouraging ideas across professional and cultural boundaries. The successful applicant will act as the regional representative on the AOCMF Community Development Commission and will represent the AOCMF Community Development Commission on the AOCMF Asia Pacific Board. The successful candidate must be able to work in a multicultural environment and be passionate about online communications. The future regional representative is also expected to have a vision to contribute to the AOCMF community.

Applicants must be AOCMF members who fulfill the requirements outlined in the job description.

Election process

Applications must be submitted to AOCMF by midnight Hong Kong Time (HKT) on May 26, 2019. These will then be handed to the nomination committee. 

The nomination committee will review all applications and select the candidates who fulfill the prerequisites. The "first past the post" election mechanism with two rounds (run-offs) will be used and then the members of the AOCMF Asia Pacific Board, the AOCMF Community Development Commission and the Web Editorial Group will vote. The first runoff will retain only the two candidates with the most votes and all others will be dropped. The second and last round will then require an absolute majority.

This election will be conducted electronically in May and June 2019.

  • A one-page letter of intent describing your top five priorities if are elected as the AOCMF Community Development Asia Pacific Regional Representative
  • Signed AO Foundation Code of Ethics
