AOCMF Asia Pacific calls for applications for the 2020 Starter Fellowship Program

The AOCMF Asia Pacific Starter Fellowship Program aims is to familiarize fellows with indications, planning, techniques, and pitfalls of osteosynthesis, under the guidance of AO experts. This applies to fractures as well as the variety of craniomaxillofacial (CMF) surgical procedures performed around the world by AOCMF surgeons. The program is detailed below.
Program scheduleThe program covers a maximum eight-week fellowship at a recognized AOCMF Fellowship Center in China, India, South Korea, or Thailand as detailed here. The participant is required to attend one AOCMF Management of Facial Trauma course.
StipendAOCMF pays a stipend of CHF 500 Swiss Franc per week to offset the cost of the participant’s course fee, airfare, visa, local accommodation and transportation and other personal expenses.
CriteriaThe applicant must be an AOCMF M ember. Online enrollment is available here. The applicant must be a graduate of a training program in one of the craniomaxillofacial (CMF) specialties and working in a country in the Asia Pacific region where AOCMF Management of Facial Trauma courses are not regularly conducted. These countries include Bangladesh, Bhutan, British Indian Ocean Territory, Cambodia, Fiji, Macao, the Maldives, the Marshall Islands, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam.
