Call for applications and nominations for AO CMF Research and Development Commission member post

The term of a current AO CMF Research and Development (R&D) Commission member’s is drawing to a close and AO CMF is calling for applications and nominations for candidates to fill this post for a three-year term that begins in July 2021.
Interested candidates who meet the criteria mentioned below may apply for this position. Nominations of colleagues who meet the selection prerequisites are also welcome. Please note: Applications and nominations must be submitted by 17:00 Central European Time (CET), December 4, 2020.
The AO CMF R&D Commission member positions were created for highly motivated individuals of international professional repute and excellent scientific and clinical recognition.
The elected member will be part of the AO CMF R&D Commission, overseeing and managing all AO CMF R&D activities. Applicants and nominees are expected to be clinicians with strong backgrounds in preclinical research and strong reputations, who are able to set new standards to position AO CMF as a global leader in craniomaxillofacial surgery research.
The successful candidate will become an AO CMF R&D Commission member for a three-year term: July 2021 to June 2024.
To be considered for this position, candidates must be AO CMF members who fulfill the requirements provided in the job description. Candidates must be willing to commit the necessary time, able to work in a multicultural environment, and free of any travel restrictions. The AO CMF R&D Commission meets twice a year. Candidates cannot hold any other AO commission or board function at the same time.
Applications must be submitted to AO CMF by 17:00 CET, December 4, 2020. Applications will then be handed to the AO CMF Nomination Committee. Applications of candidates who fulfill the prerequisites will be selected.
