AO CMF's Course Chair Lynne Fryer and European and Southern Africa (ESA) Board Member Ignacio Ismael García Recuero addressed participants and faculty at the opening ceremony for the AO Davos Courses on December 8.

They focused on some of AO CMF's achievements in the past year, its dedication to placing the patient in the center and its involvement at the cutting edge of treatment development.

The opportunities for personalization that new technologies provide was a central part of their presentation and set the tone for the educational offerings this week. Examples of this can be found in the popular AO Technical Commission Meet the Experts sessions from CMF on planning and performing maxilo-mandibular distraction osteogenesis, and on patient-specific procedures in CMF – state of the art, both available to watch online.

AO CMF this year offers an extensive range of engaging content that you can watch online via AO TV. Programs include: Iain McVicar talking about the fundamentals of teaching, and why not all great surgeons are great teachers; Gregorio Sanchez Aniceto, AO CMF International Board Chair to talk about career development and history in AO CMF; and Asim Naqash from Pakistan, talking about his extraordinary fellowship experience and how he made it all the way to Davos.
